FAQs

Why do I need chiropractic adjustments?

Chiropractic adjustments work to maintain normal motion in the spine. The spine protects the spinal cord, which connects to the nerves that control every function of the body. Therefore, keeping the spine in proper alignment allows your nerves to function at their fullest potential and, in turn, keeps your body at its healthiest.

How much will my first visit cost?

If you're a new patient, your first visit to our office is a free consultation in which Dr. Taylor will take the time to listen to you and thoroughly review your history and condition. Based upon that evaluation, he will explain what treatment regimen is recommended in your case and go over pricing options with you.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept Mail Handlers Benefit Plan and medical payments coverage from auto insurance. As a policy, we do not accept health insurance. However, we will happily provide you with the necessary paperwork to submit a claim to your insurance company for any reimbursements for which you are eligible.

Do I need a referral to visit your office?

Even though Dr. Taylor is a specialist in the fields of chiropractic and holistic care, we do not require a referral. However, if you plan to file for reimbursement for your visits with us through an insurance company that requires referrals, you will need one from your primary care physician.

What types of treatment will I receive?

Dr. Taylor draws from a large repertoire of chiropractic and holistic treatment options when tailoring a wellness plan to meet your individual needs. Because we don't take a cookie-cutter approach to helping our patients, coming in for a consultation—free for first-time patients—is the best way to learn what treatments Dr. Taylor would recommend in your case.

What is holistic care?

Holistic care focuses on treating the whole body to resolve an ailment as opposed to treating only certain components of the body or symptoms of an ailment. For example, a patient suffering from low-back pain can have a misalignment of the spine. But other factors can also contribute, such as emotional stress, nutritional deficiencies, or even allergic reactions. Because holistic care is a natural approach to wellness that does not use drugs or surgery, it may incorporate many types of treatment, including adjustments, physical exercises like stretching, nutritional supplements, techniques to desensitize your body to allergens, or exercises to help you remove emotional blockages preventing you from experiencing optimal wellness.

What if I want only chiropractic adjustments or holistic care, not both?

Dr. Taylor's individualized treatment recommendations are always designed to bring you the best results and the most relief in the shortest amount of time. While such tailored treatment regimens offer the most comprehensive healing, we recognize that many of our patients may have time or budget constraints, different wellness goals, or other factors that contribute to their desiring a different approach to their treatment. In such cases, Dr. Taylor will work with you to develop a wellness program that takes those factors into consideration while still helping you restore your health.
