This Everyday Habit Could Be Destroying Your Health

As you know, achieving balance in both body and mind are integral to the complete wellness we work to help our patients achieve at Advanced Wellness. In our latest newsletter, we're focusing on the importance of physical balance—literally. Good posture is balance and harmony with gravity. It is an effortless, comfortable, relaxed state that provides you with energy, poise, and stability. It is essential for physical and mental health.

Poor posture, on the other hand, creates abnormal stresses on your skeleton, damages the joints of your spine, hips, legs, knees, feet, and puts pressure on your brain and nervous system. It results in chronic fatigue, exhaustion, pain, lowered resistance to disease, diminished lung capacity, headaches, eyestrain, and decreased blood to the brain. Because poor posture can cause your movements to become stiff and halting, it can also make you age faster and look older.

This newsletter will teach you about a few signs that commonly point to posture problems. If you think you might recognize any of these symptoms in your own body, give us a call. We're here to help you get your body back in balance and proper alignment.
